Namibian Catamaran Day Charters in Walvis Bay

It’s interesting to see catamaran charters slowly spread through Southern Africa. Sun Sail Catamarans (No relation to Sunsail in the U.S) offer daily dolphin cruises out of the Walvis Bay Lagoon, Namibia.

The cruise takes place 2 hours before sunset and explores Bird Island and Seal Colonies at Pelican Point. Oysters and Champagne are served at Sunset and the cruises are N$40 per person. Private Charters are also offered.

While details are hard to come by it appears that the catamarans are about 50 feet in length and seat 50 passengers. Looks like they have about four in operation. They appear to have purchased their cats from a Cape Town yard (around 2008). If anybody has further details about this operation up north let us know!

    Hi there

I’m looking at taking my boyfriend and 11year old daughter on a catamaran tour around Walvis Bay in December (preferably 31st Dec, but we’re flexible) to see all the amazing wildlife.
Please can you quote me for this?

    Thanks and regards,
